Holt’s legacy began in post-war Korea, 1956, when Harry and Bertha Holt pioneered international adoption as a way to provide loving homes for children left orphaned or abandoned in the wake of the Korean War.
In the decades that followed, Holt International grew to help thousands of children from all over the world join loving, permanent families. Today, Holt continues to unite hundreds of children with families every year through both in-country and international adoption.
