I adopted my daughter from Danang, Vietnam back in October of 2001. When I arrived in Danang she was being living with her foster family who took very good care of her while we went through the adoption process. When I arrived, I also met my daughter’s birth mom at the “Giving and Receiving” Ceremony.
It was an awesome experience being in Danang and meeting my daughter’s birth mom and I hope to bring my daughter back to Danang in the near future. She is now 17 years old and she says she would like to meet her birth mom.
I look forward to the day when I can take my daughter back to Danang and show her around and hopefully meet not only her birth mom, but her foster family as well and just see the area and experience the culture where she was born.
