Eleven-year-old Pauly is kind-hearted. He is eager to help others and dreams of becoming a firefighter when he grows up.
Pauly loves playing outdoors — especially at parks and amusement parks! His caregivers say he gets excellent grades in school, and his favorite subject is art. He speaks two languages, Mandarin and Cantonese, and some English. His caregivers say Pauly is polite and friendly. He follows instructions, helps around the care center and gets along well with the other children. Pauly is reluctant to be around cats and dogs, but he loves turtles and wants one as a pet someday! He is diagnosed with Thalassemia and requires some therapy and procedures, including blood transfusions every two weeks.
